Digging up dinosaur bones
This graphic explains how researchers ‘field jacket’ dinosaur bones for transport back to a laboratory. The reporting was based on observations by IndyStar reporter Domenica Bongiovanni, who had an invitation to shadow researchers from the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis on a summer 2019 dig in a remote part of the Bighorn Basin in Wyoming.
