Inside a ‘forgotten’ camp
This 3D information graphic appeared in the May 2, 2005, edition of the Cleveland Plain Dealer and takes readers inside the inside the Ebensee concentration camp in Upper Austria. The 3D illustration pairs a detailed map of the camp with key landmarks. Charts provide a census of the prisoner population by nationality and the reason stated by the SS for imprisonment.
Much of the information was supplied by Holocaust survivor and Cleveland State professor Dr. Zev Harel. This graphic and archival photos accompanied the story about Dr. Harel’s experience.
