Expansion at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Stephen J. Beard Graphics and Visuals

The 2009 addition of the Welcome Center to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis connected major parts of the complex.

When the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis added its Welcome Center in 2009, it was just the latest in a series of additions that changed the look and flow of the complex (nine years later the museum would add the outdoor Sports Legend Experience feature).

With the 2009 expansion and as a kid who visited the museum on field trips, I jumped at the chance to do a graphic that put the latest project into historical context. This appeared in the Indianapolis Star in 2009.
